ESQK Appointed To NeuStar
On September 8, 2006, the FCC appointed the NeuStar Pooling
Administrator to serve as the Interim Routing Number Authority
(IRNA) for the pseudo Automatic Number Identification (p-ANI)
codes which are used for routing emergency calls for Voice over
Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. NeuStar will administer these
resources in accordance with the pANI Interim Assignment
Guidelines for ESQK and at the direction of the FCC. This
assignment is temporary in nature until a permanent p-ANI
solution is in place, or the expiration of NeuStar’s performance
as the Pooling Administrator, or further notice from the FCC, whichever
occurs first.
